Germany-based Aero-Dienst and Dallas-headquartered Engine Assurance Program (EAP) have signed a framework agreement to expand engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) maintenance services across Europe. The collaboration aims to enhance regional support for EAP-covered engines, beginning with Honeywell TFE731 models, with plans to include additional engine types over time.
Under the agreement, Aero-Dienst’s Engine Shop in Nuremberg will provide a wide range of services, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) assistance, Mobile Response Team (MRT) deployment, engine repairs, and both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including major periodic inspections.
“Our engine team is ready and eager to deliver top-tier support for EAP-covered engines in our region,” said Andrea Weyrich, engine shop maintenance manager at Aero-Dienst. “With extensive experience—having serviced more than 800 turbine engines from Honeywell and Pratt & Whitney Canada—we’re well-positioned to meet this demand.”
According to Sean Lynch, EAP’s managing director, approximately 30% of all Learjets in Germany are enrolled in an EAP engine program. “This partnership enhances our ability to respond quickly to customer needs across Europe,” he said. “We’ve worked with Aero-Dienst for years, and this agreement formalizes a trusted relationship. Their 40-plus years of experience with TFE731 engines and their commitment to quality make them an ideal partner.”
Lynch emphasized that the Nuremberg-based engine and APU shop will help EAP streamline operations by eliminating the need to ship engines internationally, ultimately improving efficiency, reliability, and responsiveness for its European clients.
Aero-Dienst’s Nuremberg facility is certified to service Honeywell TFE731 and HTF7000 engines, as well as a range of APUs. A second workshop focuses on Pratt & Whitney Canada PW300-series engines. The company also highlights the increasing importance of field services, including troubleshooting, mobile repairs, and maintenance support at customer locations.
Beyond its Nuremberg headquarters, Aero-Dienst maintains operational facilities in Vienna and Klagenfurt (Austria), Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, and a component shop in Landsberg am Lech, reinforcing its presence as a key maintenance provider in the region.
